At some of the concerts, I've heard that when you get bottled water, they won't give you the cap to the bottle.  The venues are afraid fuckwits in the audience will hurl them at the band.

yes they did that at the concert I went to...so fucking stupid...I was like "I'm glad I don't want to save this for later or put it somewhere where it could possibly get knocked over!! I think another reason why they do it is that the bottles can't fly very far with the caps off.

I mean empty plastic water bottles not beer bottles

I can't say they were all beer bottle, some could have been water bottle but trust me they sailed like missiles.

But judging from that crowd that day 80% were beer to 20% water.

But it doesn't matter, removing the caps off plastic beer or water bottles doesn't stop people from hurling them.
I think they do it just to be difficult. :-p

From what I heard, they seemed less worried about the bottles being thrown at them than the caps to those bottles.
