A couple months back Plushman put me on the path to dig deeper into the history of STP at Lollapalooza '92, since almost nothing was documented at the time and questionable and false reports of the band playing certain shows on that tour had been popping up on the internet over the past decade, even leading to sites like Wikipedia and Setlist.fm (among others -- even including a few false dates on this site for a while) to present information in such a way that it would seem STP was very much a part of this national tour.
Needless to say, the band wasn't. They only played the side stage "Stage 2000" at two of the Lollapalooza '92 stops in Phoenix (9/8) and Irvine (9/12) according to their own memory. The powers that be at Setlist.fm and Wikipedia require more 'evidence' than word from the band themselves before they would consider taking down the other dates, though, so I started collecting information on the side stage bands for Lollapalooza '92.
