I could really use a copy of each. Also Libertad, but that's another topic in another sub-forum....

Deluxe version of Happy, please.

It IS the 20th and 10th anniversary of both albums, so now would be as good a time as any....

Don't think there's much interest for any of the Weiland albums, I guess if some company can do a ltd pressing might be the only way they'll see light of day.  I'd go for 12BB, that album would be perfect for vinyl.

HIG and Libertad on vinyl would sound incredible. I think Libertad is the most likely to see vinyl as there are 4 band members out there you could hassle on social media to get the idea in their heads.

I've got the "Music On Vinyl" pressings of Tiny Music, No. 4, and Shangri-La Dee Da, and I think they're pretty great.

They have a page for requests: https://www.musiconvinyl.com/request-release#.W0BA2PdlDqA

But we should try to spread our requests out over the next few weeks to increase the illusion of demand.

Somebody ask Doug Grean about a Happy vinyl!!!

Imprints come out of the woodwork all the time and put out obscure and less popular records, simply because they're fans. I have no doubt that those albums will eventually see a vinyl release, it might take a considerable amount of time, but it'll happen. Give it five or ten, maybe fifteen years and you're set.

Hopefully in ten or fifteen years we will have a truly lossless codec beyond FLAC and won't need vinyl anymore, short of the love for physical media.

But ya, I could see 12BB being some kind of record store day release eventually.

Doubt Doug could do anything. I think it comes down to a record company having interest in reissuing the albums and Scott's estate (I.E. Mary and the kids) giving them permission.

As executor of Scott’s estate, maybe Mary will see the demand and do a deal for this. Wish I knew her so I could suggest it. It would be great if she and Doug Grean would collaborate. What a great legacy for Noah and Lucy.

I was really hoping that 12BB would be that kind of album that gets rediscovered years later. Not sure if that will ever happen though. And it's a shame, because what an incredible art-record that is.

This has to happen. Also Blaster needs to be rereleased without missing tracks Back to the City and whatever else left over material there was.

Agreed.  I think there are too many uber-fans that live in a Scott fantasy bubble hopeful that this will happen.  In the real world, at a larger scale with corporate music still holding the reigns to these albums and their rights, no one cares about 12BB or Scott for that matter.

What demand though?  The 5 people on Belowempty?  Even if there was 1,000 people on a Scott/STP Facebook fan page for it, that still wouldn't turn the scales.  Boils down to the money that is required to press the vinyls for it, the question of how many copies to make that would reap any sort of profit.  There is such a low demand for Scott that if they did put it to vinyl it would be such a limited edition because it has no selling power.  Chris Cornell maybe.  He was beloved by his peers and the general public and music industry.  Scott not so much.  He burned a ton of bridges and left this world on such a low note that the last thing on anyones minds is reprinting on vinyl an obscure solo album(s) that didn't even sell that much in the first place and has been forgotten by all except that VERY SMALL handful of hardcore fans out there.

A pledgemusic type thing could work.
