Chester sounded fine, they all sounded fine. Not my cup of tea, but if you can dig it, dig on.

I recently caught a performance of LP and I must say, Chester sings the hell out of that stuff really great live. I know it's HIS stuff so there's no other comparison but I also believe that LP songs have much more straightforward melodies that don't always have the movement (vocally) that STP songs do. When I hear him sing the STP stuff, even though it's within his range, I think it's just much more challenging to sing. The phrasing, the little subtleties and nuances...they make a difference. And I say that as a fan.
