New Scott Weiland Book
« on: March 01, 2016, 07:09:17 PM »
About a week or two ago someone posted a preview of what looked like a very low-budget, cash-in attempt, film/documentary about Scott. This new book seems to sort of do the same thing. This is probably an interesting read in some aspects, but it just seems like other people talking about him. Some excerpts are also available at the link below:

Get used to the profit farming of dead rock stars. It's been happening for eons, and it wont stop with Scott.

People profiting from Weiland's death was completely expected, and I don't expect it to stop anytime soon.

I actually picked up this book.  Why?  Because I am a collector... even of cash ins like this and the "Buy This..." CD.  Havent looked at it really, but I randomly opened it up to a single page and guess who was featured there...

So I thumbed through the book a bit more just now.   You're actually quoted in there a TON, Brett.  Probably every 7th quote or so is you.  The author (Greg) clearly has been following you closely.

Yeah, he asked to interview me just a few days after Scott died, so it was kind of like therapy to me.  I wouldn't shut up, lol.

I'm torn between purchasing this.  Hearing that the writer was gathering interviews for this within days of Scott's death annoys the hell out of me.

Has anyone read?  Does this really give any insight/story to Scott?  Or is it moreso reading about what he meant to others?
