I could believe the story, except for 2 things that come to mind:

- I don't know if it would make sense for the band to go around to anyone and everyone demanding coke.  I would think this would all be handled internally, in order to not worry about roadies who could care less and venue hosts who you're just annoying to keep their mouth shut and not spread the rumors around.

- Why wait a half year to publicize this?

While this wouldn't be hard to believe given Scott's track record, it's very convenient that the only named person in the story - Jeremy-  recently passed away and was not able to confirm/deny anything.  Seems like BS to me. Why would the story teller wait to release this until now?

Was thinking about that. If this is fabricated, it's a really dick move to tarnish Jeremy's name like that.

Have you seen the man lately? He's clearly not been all there for a while.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. Wouldn't be surprised if it's bullshit. Scott seems pretty messed up lately. At the same time if they were trying to score coke backstage like that at shows, I can't imagine this would be the first we heard about it.
Well he wouldn't be messed up if he was snorting aspirin instead of Coke

I guess you've never heard of the placebo effect.

 If the placebo effect was that strong and could get lifelong Addicts their fix then some drug dealers would save a lot of money by just selling aspirin instead of Coke
