I'm loving the guitar tones on the songs we've heard so far. They definitely didn't just set it and forget it.
Sounds to me like they really tried to dig in deep to how the record would sound sonically.

I like it. I like the originals more but this is a very solid cover.

I finally got home and was able to actually listen to the song.

Yes, I agree.  The sound of it matches everything else we've heard so far.  I really like this cover.

This is a pretty awesome cover. I like how loud the bass is in this song. Pretty soon we'll have heard the entire album before it's even released lol

Scout's vocals are pretty lazy IMO.

Meh. Never a huge fan of covers, rarely do they ever do the original justice or add something fresh, though I will say I liked Scott's cover of the The Smith's on HIG. I do like what they did with the bass here, gives the song a sludgier tone. Scott's vocals are fine, he does start out a bit nonchalant, but picks up towards the end. Could take or leave this one.
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

Yeah, not a fan of covers on original albums, but this was alright. "But Not Tonight" was my favorite Scott cover, but this one fits the vibe of the album more.

Nothing compared to the original, when I hear the original, it feels timeless. Whereas with this cover, it's like they made it feel dated, ironically enough. Looking at it as a Scott song and not just some cover, it's pretty good. I've enjoyed every song released thus far. I could do without "Circles", but I've been relatively impressed with what I've heard.
