It was a solo headlining show. Camp Howard opened for them. The one interesting thing I noticed is that they went on a little later than there usual 9pm start time. STP didn’t hit the stage until around 9:20pm

It will be interesting to see how long their set is with the co-headlining shows. Maybe they were experimenting to see what they could get in with a shortened set?

It was a very strange crowd. It was at a casino and it seemed there were a good amount of comped tickets so you had pockets of older concert goers sprinkled throughout the theater. Pockets of people sitting through the entire show. Early on in the set during Vasoline Jeff even climbed down and walked through the crowd to try and get people standing.

Besides that it was a great set for an STP fan. I agree it was a little short. Highlight was meatplow and deans solo during sour girl. Also they played Plush in its original form unlike the slow and chunky version they’ve been doing. That was a great change IMO.

I have a free ticket to tonight’s show if anyone in the New England area is interested. It’s a printed ticket so you’ll have to be able meet me at Foxwoods before the show. Pm me for details.

2018 - Tour Leg 5 - North America / Re: Acoustic show
« on: December 15, 2018, 05:30:20 AM »
What a show! No new tracks, but it was an interesting crowd and event. Nothing like I’ve ever been to before. Half concert and half fundraiser and located in a really creative space with doors open two hours before show time and there was a brewery on site. Let’s just say the crowd was very lubed up by the time STP came on. I can kind of understand why they didn’t bust out the new stuff because I honestly don’t think most of the people there even knew about Jeff and let alone a new album.  Would’ve maybe been a good opportunity to play at least one song to promote it though.

What an experience overall. The band was tight and every song just killed. It was an incredible set for a long time fan to hear those songs acoustically in person. I honestly can’t belive it even happened.  It was no frills and song after song the band got tighter and tighter. No encore, played for 90 minutes. 16 songs total and they closed with Trippin’.

That was my guess as well. LA weekly called it a “chunky, slowed-down version”.

I wonder if they’re saving Plush to use as a bonus track for the new album? Maybe use it for ITunes and such?  I read a review in which the writer said they did a different take on it.

I used to make fun of his old band DryCell’s heaven and hot rods cover back in the day. Can’t believe this is the same guy.

12 Bar Blues / Re: 12 Bar Blues - Promo Copy

Rik is the man with the abundance of info that is on this site. Found this info in the "discography" section:

The first edition of the album (in Germany) had the song 'Lazy Divey' listed as track 3, while the song was not actually on the disc. The re-issue of the album, which fixed the error with Lazy Divey, however had an error of its own: 'Opposite Octave Reaction' is misspelled as 'Oppopsite Octave Reaction' on this release.

I have a regular copy of 12 Bar Blues with the same misprint. I can't remember, but I believe maybe the initial pressing has the misprint. Not 100% sure though.
