Song Discussion / Re: Take A Load Off next single
« on: June 12, 2010, 07:30:05 PM »
I love this song, but like someone said above would not mind seeing a "take a load off" or two taken out for the radio edit.  As far as the reception it will get from the public...who the hell knows.  We can only guess what non-fanboys will choose.  I'm a total fan-boy myself so I know that anything I love from this band has an opportunity to flop on radio so I just enjoy the hell outta the music that noone ever thought was going to be made :)

Stone Temple Pilots (2010) / Re: Cinnamon single released on radio

I'm not really sure what song would be a great single.  Honestly it took me a while to love BTL (which I really like now) and it did great as a single.  Most of the songs on the album are great, but IMO are maybe missing something that will really catch the radio listener.  I think First Kiss On Mars has potential as the last single.  I just wish Scott did a little more with the "Reel over" part because the rest of the song is amazing.  Anyone else feel the same way about "reel over"?

Shangri-LA DEE DA / Re: Dumb Love
« on: June 03, 2010, 01:08:20 AM »
I was going to make a new topic on this, but I will just throw it out in this one.  It's not going to happen, I understand, but man I would love Dumb Love to follow up BTL as a single.  STP needs a few songs to kick radio listeners in the balls (or cervix?) and Dumb Love has that more than any song on the new album.  I wanna see the guys do well whether it's with new songs or old and going back to a 'core' like song might help.  After that bring on a love tune.

Scott Weiland / Re: Favorite Era of Scoot's Vocals??
« on: June 03, 2010, 12:59:00 AM »
This is a great topic, and has been running forever it looks like!  The voice I prefer the most is Weiland's 'western' voice.  I don't think it's quite country hence calling it western.  He uses this voice on songs like Interstate Love Song and The Last Fight.  Just deep enough, and just enough twang.
