I've seen Fuel play at least a half dozen times since he put them together, and they haven't had the same band together for two shows.  Fuel very much is Brett right now.  I'd kind of hate to see him become STP's new singer because even touring with the band of the week they are just amazing live.  I don't see brett putting that much effort into putting Fuel back together to put it aside.  Only way I see that happening is if they combine the bands.

Yes Fuel has only put out one album since being put back together, but from what I understand it took a ton of work to get the album out.  I think it took something like 1.5-2 years to get the album out after it was recorded.  I know I heard them play "Headache" from the Puppet String something like 5 years ago right after he got the rights back playing in a tiny local bar.  It was a long road to get back to where they are now.

Out Of The Chains That Bind You / Re: 250+ GB MP3 players
« on: September 23, 2015, 05:59:53 PM »
A couple of possible solutions:

First is the FiiO X5 High Resolution Lossless Music Player as it supports two sd cards.  It can only 128gb cards bringing the storage to 256gb, but I did read of expectations of a possible firmware upgrade that would add support for 256gb cards.  Maybe don't rush out to buy it, but keep an eye on it.

Or if you want to get creative get something like the Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB Portable Hard Drive with Built-in WiFi.  It's 1tb and you can stream your music to any device with wifi, so while not a perfect solution it will give you plenty of storage space.

Anybody else go to this show last night?  Holy crap what an amazing show.  They definitely brought there AAA game.

Adhesive is very low on the list of songs I want to hear live, but it's good to hear they are going to do different stuff.  I saw them play Seven Caged Tigers before in a show in Atlantic City after the reunion while they were working on the STP album.  I never saw an audience so confused in my life.  I would bet 2/3's of the audience had never even heard it before.

As horrible as Scott's solo stuff in the past have been I seriously doubt it.  Would be nice if something good comes from him though.

let's put it this way, if you know how to use the internet it isn't hard to find at all.

I must need internet lessons, I'm finding nothing but garbage

Look at all these people not wanting Chester in STP!

Boy, they look really pissed.  ::)

Yeah, this show obviously didn't sell any tickets.

I was at the show.  By far the best STP show I've been to, and I've been to a lot.  Everyone in the band seemed to be more into than they have been in years.

I managed to pick up a second row seat for the show.  I also got a front row for Fuel/Buckcherry the following Friday.

Played Shows 1992-2012 / Re: 2010-09-05 - Holmdel, NJ - PNC Bank Arts Center
« on: September 07, 2010, 02:48:38 PM »
Was I the only one disappointed by this show?  I drove an hour and half to see them in holmdel because I knew the venue was so good, but it was the worst show I've seen them do.  And I was there last time they played there.

They sounded fine when they were playing music for he most part, but it was ridiculous the amount of BS that was going on between songs.  Still Remains was a mess as the band was not in sync at all, and then they extended it for something like five minutes.  Dancing Days sounded awful.  I don't know about anyone else but I saw a lot of people leave in disgust.

By Sex Type Thing the row in front of my was abandoned including some people that looked like they were really big fans.  I left in between Dead and Bloated and Trippin, and managed to make out to the parking lot before the song even started.  I just couldn't take the nonsense anymore.  If you are going to play such a short show why fill a good 20 minutes of it playing random garbage when you could play a few more songs.  I know on my way out I heard at least a dozen people complaining.

Other than the two exceptions I mentioned above and Pretty Penny which just felt out of place they did a really good job when they actually played music, but of the five STP shows I've been two this is the first time I didn't feel satisfied when I left.

STP sounded great! Scott missed a couple of notes, but overall he was on point.

Yeah, that fan who sang the intro to Dead and Bloated, I was a bit jealous. Lol.

And for those who say Bagman is the weakest song on the album, you have to hear it live. I always liked it, but it sounds even better live!

I was there last night, and Bagman does sound really good live.  I would have rather heard Hazy Daze or Fast as I can but I certainly can't complain as they put on one hell of a show beginning to end.  Even my girlfriend only looked mildly disgusted with being there during their set.

I have two front row tickets.  I have a feeling that my girlfriend isn't going to want to go, so I might end up with an extra ticket...

Stone Temple Pilots (2010) / Re: Album Leak Predictions
« on: April 21, 2010, 02:11:09 PM »
I hope it leaks soon.  I am definitely buying the album, and have no problem buying it without hearing the songs first, but I am going to be seeing them in concert 2 days before the album hits stores, and it won't be as much fun if I'm not familiar with the new stuff they are playing.
