Played Shows 1992-2012 / Re: 2011-09-11 - Albany, NY - Palace Theatre

I was also at the Albany show - 3rd row from the stage... as a fan, I was disappointed - despite Scott's moving around, the band didn't seem to be tight and there wasn't that high "energy" feel radiating from the stage except from Robert.  He worked his BUTT off and actually looked like he enjoyed performing.  There was a timing mess up in Still Remains - good rebound from the band - Dean never really looked like he was enjoying himself.  The band - to me - looked as if they were overall tired and ready for a rest.  True, they have been on the road a long time but they signed up for this and are getting paid.  I love STP and Scott and consider myself lucky to have seen them in Albany since we trekked from Toronto for this show.  It just seems that everytime they seem to slip, there are last minute announcements or cancellations.  Scott is on Weiland time as we all know and seems to have no regard for the waiting fans.  True - I don't know this for certain - but it is my perception.  Having met him a few times - he seemed very sincere one on one.  It just seemed that his performance was insincere - as if to say - see, I show up late and you still love me.  Hopefully I am mistaken.  I know that there are a few on this message board that  take these kind of comments to heart but this is just my opinion - no offense to anyone.  Having said all of this, I really don't but the throat inflammation thing - but - hope that they all regroup and chill for a bit before returning to the road.

On Tour / Re: Tour Cancellation

I hate to say it but - what a coincidence.  They messed up in Orillia and the show in Albany was pretty lame.  Good save with Still Remains but timing was just not there.  Despite moving around a lot, Scott looked bloated aside from the weight gain.  None of the band members except for Robert looked thrilled to be there.  It just seems that whenever these type of announcements come up it coincides with something...... the band did look in need of a rest so hopefully they will all get just that.  Don't forget others that are impacted - what about the employees of the band and venues?  Sucks for everyone!!

Who's going?  I'm there.

Prior to the guitar issues starting with Dean, there was a loud humming.  What was cool was that while Dean was going through guitar changes after a song, the boys fooled around with the beginning of Take A Walk On The Wild Side by Lou Reed.  After the guitar issues seemed to have been corrected, Dean broke a string.....  it happens to the best of it.  Wouldn't have wanted to have been the guitar tech or sound crew that night.  It was an AWESOME show and a little bit of rain never hurt anyone!!  :-)  Great crowd and great to see STP right into it!!

Hi there,
Anyone have any details on this show?  The STP website shows that presale goes on sale tomorrow yet I can't find anything on Ticketmaster or the Borgata website.  If anyone knows anything, your sharing would be appreciated.  Thanks!!   :)

[/quote]It's all GA. There's a "balcony" with about 4 rows of seats around the entire floor, but these aren't open for concerts.

As an fyi..... the venue has told me that the seats will be accessible at the STP show as GA.
