I second the idea that they team up with Axl.  God I would kill to see Axl try and sing Dead and Bl.oated just imagine that tool with the megaphone in his hand!

Man this show was better than I expected last night.  Scott sounded on the money, even though he was late as usual.  My second time seeing Scott/STP and this time he was less late than STP when I saw them at PNC and imo he sounded much better. And the comment about AXL made my damn night  ;D Overall, it was a great show.  Awesome venue choice, I'm used to going to big arenas but I liked a smaller venue for once.  Very fun night.

On Tour / Re: STP Playing New York City?

I'm already pondering whether I should buy tickets to the Starland show.  I'm away at school but Starland is like 20 minutes away from my house  ;D  I don't know it depends on how I like Scott solo on Friday I would kill to see STP agian though especially in NYC of all places, any venue would do.

I hate you.   :)
16 more days for me.

Funny story actually... I woke up early to buy tickets to see The Killers at MSG next month and was listening to Krock. They were giving away tickets to their holiday show and i won them!  :P But yeah, I'm hoping he plays quite a few STP songs as well cause I like Galoshes but I'm not that big on 12BB...

I am praying that they book a NYC city show. I don't care where or when they just need to come back near me again! Plus I was at the show at PNC which was.....interesting to say the least :-  I think they (well only Scott really) could have done a lot better and it's the only time I've seen the live I felt like the show was missing something.

This tune quickly became my favorite song on the album (like it just a bit more than Killing Me Sweetly).  There's just something about the acoustic guitar riff that i really dig, and his vocals sound awesome too.  Hope he plays this one on Friday...  :)

This is by far the most irrelevant song on the album. I think Scott would have NAILED Man Who Sold the World and done it way better than Cobain.  And I second the fact that tat whole Nirvana Unplugged show was like a public funeral.  It is a great performance but people immortalize it because Cobain died soon after.  If Cobain did a decent job covering Man Who Sold the World, Scott would've blown it out of the water.

I was surprised at how well Scott sounded and looked.  The band was God awful but I was expecting Scott to be terrible as well.  I've heard some radio interviews with him and it kills me to hear him, he sounds dead when he speaks.  But when he sings you can tell he's still got it.  Kinda like Ozzy but not as bad, thank God.

Pleased To Meet You, Nice To Know Me / Hey everyone!
« on: November 10, 2008, 08:09:37 PM »
My name is Nick, and after lurking for a few weeks I figured I'd introduce myself to everybody.  I first heard STP when I was 4 years old (my dad and brother played Purple in 1994 day and night) and they have always been one of my favorites.  I listen to mostly rock music, some of my other favorites are U2, The Who, Foo Fighters, Incubus, AIC, Nirvana, The Killers etc.  I've only seen the guys in concert once and it was this past summer at the KROCK Return of the Rock show at PNC in Holmdel, NJ.  It was my first opportunity to ever see them so I jumped on it...It wasn't as bad as everyone was saying but I thought it would be better (Weiland still rocked no matter how fucked up he was!). I love playing drums, guitar, listening to music and many other things.  Im currently a freshman at Seton Hall University and still listen to STP every goddamn day. Oh yeah, last week I won tickets to see Scot at KROCK's Holiday Show at the Fillmore I can't wait!!! Nice metting you all!
