Art Of Anarchy / Re: Art of Anarchy sue Scott Stapp for $1.2 million...

I wonder if this was the "scam" part Weiland was referring to?

Velvet Revolver / Re: Scott vs. Hoobastank
« on: July 14, 2017, 02:17:14 PM »
I think part of it was anger of not wanting to tour with them. I remember reading an article with Matt bashing them, asking who the hell they were, etc... only to see about a month later that they were opening for VR on tour. Label interference, maybe?

Not to justify anyone's actions, but this thought has been nagging on me for a while. Are the days of fronting 2 bands over? Yeah, people still do it, but a lot of them are set up pretty good. Scott has stated he has to pay his ex a lot, Soft drive costs, ect... So he has to keep touring.  I imagine making records and carving out time for 2 bands would eat up a lot of touring time/free time with family.  Maybe I'm wrong about this, but it seems the focus of where the money comes from has really shifted in the last 10-15 years.  Is it still economically feasable , or is this more for people doing it for creative reasons?  This is not focused solely on Scott, but his situation is a bit messed up financially, so he fits the model I had in mind.

I went to the Minneapolis show for that. STP was amazing, but people left after Stained and Linking Park finished. A shame. Only good thing was I took advantage of it to get better seats.

If Scott is officially/legally out of STP, how funny would it be if he did an STP tribute album?
Vocals sound good. Glad to see Scott back on him game.

I've been wondering when/if the "Bio" section on the official STP site would ever update.  Kind of curious how it was going to be handled.  Now I see its just been removed.

Dean DeLeo / Re: Dean the "Babysitter"

I love Dean. He cracks me up and I like the way he sees the current situation.
As for the artical writer, why the hell did they feel the need to list "essential albums" at the bottom?
For me, Tiny Music is their best, showing off their diversity and all around dynamic and SLDD is one of STP's most personal records and these are the two they left off. Should not have put the list there at all.

Velvet Revolver / Slash: iTunes sessions
« on: January 01, 2011, 03:38:11 AM »
Slash just put out an iTunes Sessions with Myles Kennedy. Six tracks, two of them are Velvet Revolver. Listening to them, there is a good reason why they can't find a replacment for Scott.

The first Tuesday in a long time I've been in a good mood. Tuesdays at work suck worse than any other day, but today I got up at 4 a.m. to download the album for the ride into work. Thank God there is a cd player in the back room  8)

Stone Temple Pilots (2010) / Re: "Deluxe Edition" live tracks

I can not remember who it was in the interview, but about 10 years back I was reading an artical with a band and they were asked what has surprised them the most about the business and they said that "live" albums are not "live".

Still wish we could get a cleaned up version of the new Sour Girl live.

So, for 50 cents more, you can get the delux version. Hmmm, wonder if anyone will buy the standard online  ;)

I'm going to assume that the $18 version is really the target/i-tunes exclusive and not the $15.99, as listed target.com. The DVD is probably the 30 minute interview and Between the Lines video like on i-tunes. The delux version everywhere else has the same listing as the $15.99 target "exclusive", so I'm betting it's just an error on their site.

No go through the e-mail. They just said all available info is listed, then they gave me a number to try calling, only the e-mail was sent after 6, so I'll have to call after work tomorrow. If anyone else wants to try, it's 800-303-0308. The product # is 244-18-0305.

I sent an e-mail to Target Coustomer Service about the diffrent delux versions. If I get an answer, I'll let you guys and gals know.

The Wicked Garden / Re: Best STP songs to play at a wedding reception?
« on: April 30, 2010, 01:53:49 AM »
We played Interstate Love Song, Lady Picture Show and Adhesive at ours. Adhesive is one of my all time faves. Tiny Music is damn near perfect, unfortunatly the wife nixed playing the whole album  ;)

Scott Weiland / Re: Weiland Backs Obama

No one was screaming "Kill Bush" until he drugthe war on in another country, after there thousands of American soliders were killed, and for what? People got fed up, I know I did. I've been affected by the war, and I have friends who have too. Last time I checked, Health Care reform is not going to get anyone killed. If fact, it's going to save and improve lives.

That's the diffrence between Tea baggers (insert your own joke) and liberals.
