^Truth.

I would much rather have seen Papa Roach than Killswitch Engage or Serj Tankian. That guitarist from Killswitch Engage was a total douchebag that tried to be funny, but wasn't funny at all.

You dont need to read music to write songs, or play an instrument

True. My brothers a pretty good guitar player, and he can't read music.

Honestly, not my one of my favorites. But hey, at least someone loves it.

GNR is NOT hair metal. Far from it.

That's like saying that STP is grunge. They all get lumped together.

They do all get lumped together. People always want to label artists.

The Way She Moves. (2000). Outtake of the No.4 sessions, which was to end up on a Greatest Hits album that was never released.

Man, I would love to hear that. . . real bad.

What's the difference between Thank You and that Greatest Hits album?

I agree.  One of the best thing about that early nineties era was that so many of those bands gave us acoustic versions of so many awesome songs.

Absolutely. I miss those days. That's my favorite music era.

I agree with Weiland needing to tighten up on missing lyrics.  However, my fears after Kimmel have been put to rest, they still "have it".  I also don't think they have worked together very much, and I am not saying that as an excuse-just a fact.  They need to rehearse more together.  These current problems, though I do think are somewhat minor after only 2 shows can be worked out much easier than Weiland sounding like he just smoked 2 packs and drank a bottle of bourbon.  My guess is because they have been doing other projects they may have thought it would be easier to jump in the STP saddle again without needing to put forth the same preparation.

I give them the benefit of the doubt so far and the only brutal miss that ruined a song was Down.  I thought he saved Loungefly pretty well.  Once you get "off" singing on that song it is tough to get back on.

As good as Weiland was on Lady Picture Show, he can screw up 1 song a night if he can nail that thing like I've heard so far.

He did nail Lady Picture Show.

Yes.  I am predicting a setlist switchup.  This time, it's not some all-day event.  There aren't 100 other bands playing.

I'm thinking they're going to play longer, and it's not going to be the same set.

Not that it really matters if it is.  Because I'll love it regardless.

Any ideas on songs?

I can't wait to see how the new album compares to the ones in the past.

Velvet Revolver / Re: Scott should have joined AIC instead of VR

I would have loved to have seen that... Scott in AIC. His voice and Layne Staley's are just too different though. It would be weird, but interesting nevertheless.

I've seen him smoking Camel Signature Mellow, only reason I know is bc I smoke them...they have a very distinctive filter.  I switch off and on from them and Marlboro Lights...like to switch off of all cigs but like somebody said earlier...gimme at least one vice now.  Clean and sober now, don't harass me about my nasty cigs.

Congrats for being clean and sober.

Let's wait until Tuesday night before we bitch about the "same-setlist" issue.  I heard Weiland promise us on Saturday that they wouldn't be doing that - that they would be switching things up.  And I always give W the benefit of the doubt.  Even if he has a tendency to fib.

Both yesterday and Saturday were festival shows.  Tomorrow in Cleveland, it will be their first non-festival show.  I'm hoping that they play much, much longer.  And I'm crossing my fingers and praying for 7CT, which I suggest all of you do for me as well.  :-)

I think the Cleveland show is when we will begin to see some of the different songs come out.
