i think that sums up everything pretty well.now i kinda look at it like this. (i know my dates are going to be off but i don't really remember that well. they fired scott in feb. then around may they did that guest appearance with chester at the weenie roast (i think) they capitalized on all the press around it and kinda went on a run which was smart dropped the ep. then.........nothing chesters play time was over and he went back to his main gig and really nothing has happened since i think they added some dates but thats it. my point is ,that i don't really understand what this was all for. now if chester was not in linkin park and he was full time stp then fine i can see that,but going on these little 3 month runs once a year (while ruining the image for a lot of the bands fans,and a rushed ep that was decent at best) again doesn't make sense,they could have done that with scott.  and its not like they are foo fighters or rhcp (a band that is in high demand) they are slowly declining.instead of firing scott they should have just went away for a while,come out with a statement saying that rob and dean are producing some stuff eric is going to just be awesome and scott is going to fiddle with his solo stuff ,and the band will get together in a few months maybe a year to write some new material and a tour within the next 18 months. but really it would give scott time to get his shit together and if he didn't then they would then make the decision to move on without scott. time heals all,by that time the money hungry deleo brothers would be ready to make some money and all would be forgotten just like the 08 reunion tour.but in all i understand i just think it shiity for them to just make us accept this version of the band and that chester is soo amazing and they are in it for the music then drop off again putting us in the same place we were when scott was in the band.

A year later, I still hate the situation.


I feel Che$TP is all about money. I feel the Bros ruined the STP legacy. They should have just changed the band name. The Bros know how Scott is, they should have given him his space and the Bros could have done other projects, which is what they've been doing anyway this past year or months.


They fired Scott and came out shooting with Chester and making appearances and a new album. And then what? They stopped dead in their tracks because of Chester's obligation to LP.  And how many shows did they cancel earlier this year?


I bought the physical CD of High Rise and also the digital download. I still listen to it but I can't get into it STILL. The music is awful to me. Not their best. But I never did like Chester's voice. Still, I'm no hater because I really tried to like Che$TP.


I am still hopeful of an Original 4 show. Hopefully this time it is not for $$$. We'll see.

i think this will hit the guys sooner than later,they need scott and they know it,i kinda base it off the youtube views for the ep,only 400 views on the tunes, and thats probably a lot from members on this site listening to them a few times (including me).when alice in chains songs leaked it was in the thousands within a few days.there plan to get the lawsuit out in the public to create some free marketing backfired. they will be knock on scotts door soon enough i hope.

Hello everyone,i haven't posted in years,mostly because all the bullshit that has been going on in the stp world. ive been pissed,sad,happy,disappointed and everything in between. But being a massive STP fan,and having a man crush on SW i don't really side with either im pretty neutral. in saying that i wish they would have left the STP name alone,but they didn't so whatever.  i dont think high rise isnt bad but its not great. i love the way the deleo's approach music their chord progressions and deans tone. but this isnt a stp album.  the reason why is i think these tunes sound this way for the causal fan can digest this material easier. it is very generic rock,i believe it was done on purpose to crossover and bring those linkin park fans (Chester fans) on board.  if this was another band with a new name with the guys i think i would like it alot more,but because it has the stp name on it,it will never live up to my expectations of what a stp album should be. Chester is talented there is no way around that,he did what i think all of us would have done being huge fans of this band,im a guitar player and if for some reason dean wasnt around and for some reason i was asked to be the guitar played in STP you damn right i would say yes,and chester being a life long fan i dont blame him. out of time is ok same with black heart. same on the inside and tomorrow and very great tunes can't help but think what scott could have done with those. chester's song cry cry is a little weak but dean put a nasty solo on it to make a little easier to swallow. being that they slapped the stp name on this i give it 5.8/10,if they put a different name on it i would give it 8/10,i know its stupid but it just doesnt live up the the stp name to me.

im so on the fence about going...i fuckin love stp...notice how i say fuckin...i even have the fleuron on my right arm since 2005 so yeah im a huuuge fan...ive seen them 4 times since 08 this would be my 5th i just cant decide if i want to see the same setlist as i did in august 2010...knowing my luck they will change it  before they hit the states again....ahhh ill prolly go.

Has anyone ever sat in the "boxes" at the Fillmore?  If so, can you comment on what the view is like from them?  Thanks.

i have sat in the boxes for the infamouse march 2010 show...great view of the stage ...awesome seats.
